The creature rapidly became infamous for leaping impossible heights and distances and terrorizing young women. Whether Spring-Heeled Jack is a human, beast, or mage is an un­ solved matter. Regardless of how the original accomplished his feats, now anyone with sufficient resources can match or surpass him, hopefully to apprehend the fiend!

System

Spring Heels use a Forces 2 Effect to tempo­ rarily suspend or reverse gravity for the wearer. Although this sudden propulsion takes a little getting used to, it enables the wearer to achieve leaps of absurd height and distance. Activating the Heels costs 1 Quintessence. For the remainder of the scene, the user automatically suc­ ceeds at all Athletics rolls to jump, climb, or land safely. This Effect is uncanny. The user can spend an additional point of Quintessence to fly, although this is catastrophic.
