The sugar maple has been farmed for thousands of years by Northeastern Native American nations. The sap of these trees was rendered into maple sugar, maple syrup, and hundreds of other tasty treats. Some trees could be enticed to develop a special sap, particularly if they were grown near a Node. This sap needs to be rendered into a very thin maple syrup that is designed to mix well in warm water. This process has largely been lost due to the genocidal actions of European settler-colonialists in New England, but there are a few elders who still retain some knowledge of the art of identifying the right trees and rendering them correctly. Finding one of these trees is particularly hard, as the Nodes which once empowered them have slowly lost their power.

This sap acts as Tass when rendered correctly and each cup holds up to 15 Quintessence. Prime 2+ is required to pull Quintessence from a Periapt.
